Monday, Jan. 11, 2016, 3 a.m. — A man cleaning a 9mm handgun was injured early Monday morning when the gun accidentally discharged. Bardstown Police, Bardstown Fire and Nelson County EMS responded to the 200 block of Guthrie Drive for the accidental shooting at about 2:30 a.m. EMS transported the victim, described as a 53-old-man with a lower leg wound, to Flaget Memorial Hospital for evaluation and treatment of his injury.
