Police investigate reported theft of welding cables at city water plant

Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2011, 9:45 a.m. — The Nelson County Sheriff’s Office responded Wednesday morning to the Bardstown Water Treatment Plant, 2535 Boston Road, for a report of the apparent theft of copper welding cables. Dispatchers report that a contractor at the site is missing some welding cables and believes they may have been stolen.
