Rock slide on Burg Hill closes both lanes of Springfield Road

Saturday, June 18, 2011, 8:37 a.m. — (UPDATED 12:06 p.m.) The rock slide that closed both lanes of US150, the Springfield Road, has been cleared, according to a Nelson County deputy sheriff. The slide happened about 8 a.m. Saturday, dropping enough debris on the roadway to close both lanes. The state road department sent equipment to the area to clear the roadway. The road was opened to traffic about 10 a.m.
