Monday, Aug. 29, 2011, 1:26 p.m. — The Rolling Fork fire department responded to a brush fire in the 300 block of New Hope Road. A caller has reported seeing a column of smoke between New Hope and New Haven, and both the Rolling Fork and New Hope departments were knocked out in order to locate the source of the smoke. Rolling Fork firefighters are currently still on scene.
