Thursday, April 19, 2012, 1 p.m. — The Nelson County Sheriff’s Office and Nelson County EMS and a police department chaplain responded about noon Thursday to Greer Lane in the Botland community for a reported suicide by hanging. Children at the address went to a neighbor’s home and said they found their father had hanged himself. The Nelson County Coroner is responding at this hour and police are still on scene. The investigation is continuing.
