Teen injured in alleged assault near Bourbon Festival beer garden

Friday, Sept. 14, 2012, 8:35 p.m. — Nelson County EMS was called to the area of the Kentucky Bourbon Festival beer garden for a 15-year-old girl who had a head injury from an alleged assault. The call came in about 8:10 Friday night from police officers who were out the teenager. The EMS ambulance response was canceled after the teen’s parents arrived to take her to Flaget Memorial Hospital by private vehicle.
