Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013, 12:45 a.m. — The female driver of a Toyota Corolla was injured Friday afternoon when her car collided with a four-door Chevrolet Malibu on Woodlawn Road in the first sharp curve west of Filiatreau Lane.
Nelson County EMS, police and the Bardstown Fire Department were sent to the crash scene at about 3:40 Friday afternoon. The Toyota suffered damage on the drivers’ side, front and rear after it left the road and dropped off an embankment. Firefighters freed the victim from the vehicle and helped get her to the waiting ambulance. Nelson County EMS transported the victim complaining of severe chest and abdominal pain to University Hospital in Louisville. The driver of the Malibu was not treated by EMS.
The crash closed Woodlawn Road for about an hour.
