Monday, Jan. 29, 2013, 9 a.m. — Two people were injured Tuesday morning in a two-vehicle rear-end collision that happened on New Haven Road near St. Thomas Lane just after 8 a.m. Both were transported by Flaget Memorial Hospital by Nelson County EMS.
The 80-year-old driver of a Chevrolet Equinox rear-ended a pickup truck in the roadway. He was transported to the hospital with a laceration on one hand. A 42-year-old man in the pickup truck complained of neck and back pain and had a cut over one eye. The Nelson County Sheriff’s Office investigated the incident.
