Friday, Sept. 3, 2016, 11 a.m. – Nelson Fiscal Court held a special meeting and public hearing on Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2016. The public hearing addressed the proposed 2016 property tax rate. The court also approved an easement request from the Talbott Inn in regard to a planned handicap ramp; approved a five-year tax assessment moratorium for the new owners of the Blue Grass Exposition and Expo Center on Sutherland Road. The court also heard a presentation from Judge Executive Dean Watts regarding the City of Bardstown’s proposed doubling of its occupational tax rate. Running time: about 16 minutes.
