Bloomfield resident William Clarke Jones, 80, died Monday, June 13, 2011, at Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville.
He was a Nelson County native, a former employee of D.B. Sutherland and Sons and Blend Pak, a member of Bloomfield Christian Church Disciples of Christ, an Army veteran and former member of the Maple Grove Cemetery Board of Directors.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William Clarke and Grace Delle Limerick Jones; four sisters Ludelle Jones, Charleen Conley, Ann Jones, Betty Sams; and two brothers Bob Jones and David R. Jones.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Isenberg Jones; three daughters, Sharron Mathews (Landon) of Bardstown, Pam (Bob) Robinson of Cox’s Creek and Kim Kolb (Bruce) of Louisville; one brother, Leslie Clarke Jones “Cotton” of Louisville; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral is 2 p.m. Friday, June 17, 2011, at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery with Brother Leland Parks officiating.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Thursday at Houghlin Funeral Home. A Masonic service will be held on at 6 p.m. by the Bloomfield Masonic Lodge #57.
