Wednesday, April 16, 2014, 10:40 a.m. — A woman in her 40s died Wednesday morning when the car she was driving struck a tree on Conley Avenue in Bloomfield. Nelson County EMS and the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office was called to respond to the crash scene at 7:32 a.m.
The first police officer on the scene reported the victim was unresponsive in the vehicle. The EMS crew arrived and confirmed the victim was deceased. The Nelson County Coroner was requested to respond to the crash site.
