Obituary: Thomas Marvin ‘Tommy’ Ballard, 54, Bardstown

THOMAS MARVIN “TOMMY” BALLARD

Thomas Marvin “Tommy” Ballard, 54, of Bardstown, died Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016. He was born Jan. 7, 1962, in Louisville to Edward Till and Betty Hammond Ballard. He was the owner of T.M.B. Construction LLC. He was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church and a member of Team Crystal. He loved working with cattle and was a very loving and unselfish person who always provided for his family. He has devoted the last 16 months to trying to find his daughter, Crystal.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Sherry Ballard.

He is survived by his wife, Sherry Martin Ballard,; two daughters, Crystal Rogers and Brooke (Brandon Bryan) Ballard, both of Bardstown; one son, Casey (PJ) Ballard of Bardstown; his parents, Till and Betty Ballard, both of Bardstown; two sisters, Teresa Ballard and Barbara (Tom) Roby, both of Bardstown; two brothers, Roger (Donna) Ballard and Mike (Kathy) Ballard, both of Bardstown; and eight grandchildren.

The Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 25, 2016, at the Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral with the Rev. Jason Harris as celebrant. Burial is in the St. Thomas Cemetery.

Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Tuesday; 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Wednesday, and after 9 a.m. Friday at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home, 1475 New Shepherdsville Road, Bardstown. A prayer is 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
