Monday, Dec. 28, 2015 — Just three days before the General Assembly gavels in to set Kentucky’s next 24-month budget, a bipartisan group of state 
legislators will take a break from the frenzied pace at the Capitol to participate in the 14th annual Prayer Breakfast at Lebanon United Methodist Church, on Jan. 2, 2016.
Sen. Jimmy Higdon, R-Lebanon, will be joined by the Rev. Chris Howlett and fellow legislators Rep. Terry Mills, D-Lebanon; Rep. Kim King, R-Harrodsburg; Rep. James Tipton, R-Taylorsville; and Rep. John “Bam” Carney, R-Campbellsville, on Jan. 2 at the church, located at 236 North Spalding Ave. Breakfast will begin at 8 a.m. with the prayer service to follow an hour later.
“This will be a wonderful opportunity for the state, city, and county officials and members of the ministerial associations to break bread and pray as we begin the 2016 Legislative Session,” Higdon said. “I believe this will be an enjoyable even I’m excited to announce my 14th annual prayer breakfast at 8 a.m. Jan. 2 at Lebanon United Methodist Church. All are welcome.”
