Monday, Oct. 15, 2018 — Bardstown Baptist Church will be hosting a special program “Drug Awareness Resources” at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, 2018 in the church’s Family Life Center. The speaker will be Dr. Robert Goforth of Project D.A.R.I.S (Drug Awareness Resources in Schools). Dr. Goforth is a pharmacist in Glasgow and a Kentucky legislator whose program honors a young U.S. Marine named Daris Fent who died in 2015 of a heroin overdose.
Parents, children, youth and other community members are invited to attend. There will be a chili and hot dog dinner prior to the presentation.
