Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013, 2 a.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department responded Friday morning to a hazardous material spill at the intersection of KY 245 and Bloomfield Road. Firefighters were called out at 11:25 a.m. Firefighters determined the hazardous material was diesel fuel. Several bags of absorbent were applied to the spill to soak up the material so it could be removed and disposed of. Firefighters were at the scene for about 30 minutes.
