Monday, June 20, 2011 — Caroline Board, a graduate of Nelson County High School, was recently awarded a Humana Foundation Scholarship. Board attends the University of Kentucky and is studying English. She was also part of the Dean’s List and is a member of Phi Sigma Theta’s National Honor Society.
The Humana Foundation is the philanthropic arm of health and benefits company Humana, Inc. The Foundation supports charitable activities that promote healthy lives and healthy communities. Its giving focuses primarily on childhood health and education, health literacy, and active lifestyles. The Foundation also supports select projects promoting arts and culture and education improvement.
