Saturday, May 9, 2015 — In today’s competitive job market, you need to stand out from the rest and make a positive impression on employers. A well-crafted and organized resume can help you do this; practicing interview skills also makes a difference.
Grace Fellowship Church is offering a free five-week Resume Workshop starting 6 p.m. Wed., May 13. The one-hour sessions will start at 6 p.m. every Wednesday through June 10.
Topics covered during the workshop include: creating a resume; building on your qualifications; writing a cover letter; filling out job applications; networking and volunteering; interview skills and practice, with an opportunity for feedback from the interviewer. You will have an opportunity to assess your skills and strengths, and showcase them in a resume that will show employers the value you can bring to their organization.
The workshop will be conducted at the Bardstown Christian Fellowship building, 5010 Pennebaker Ave. in Bardstown. The workshops are open to the community and childcare is available.
