Betty Sue McKinney, 78, of Mt. Eden, passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at her residence. She was born June 16, 1948 in Anderson County to the late Dorothy Goodlett. Betty was a retired employee of Plastic Parts. She enjoyed gardening, coloring, and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alburton McKinney and a brother, William Kendall.
She is survived by her children, Michael McKinney and Kimberly (Doug) Bentley, both of Mt. Eden, her siblings, Hank Kendall of Mt. Eden, Bonnie Kendall of Bardstown, Kenny Kendall of Mt. Eden, Marty Peach of Anderson County, 2 grandchildren, Kala (James) Turner of Louisville, Casey Turner of Mt. Eden, and 5 great-grandchildren, Daniel Anderson, Desmond Stubbs, Noah Frank, Dallas Moore and Talan Riley.
Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Sue McKinney will be 1 p.m.. Monday, Aug. 3, 2026 at the Greenwell-Houghlin Funeral Home in Taylorsville. Bro. Leslie Bentley and Bro. Terry Mattingly will officiate. Interment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday from 9 a.m.. until time of the funeral service. The Greenwell-Houghlin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
