Obituary: David Donald ‘Donnie’ Williamson, 64, Louisville

David Donald “Donnie” Williamson, 64, of Louisville, died Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2015, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 13, 1951, in St. Francis. He was a retired professional window cleaner. He loved his wife, family, friends and his animals.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John David and Anna Louise Mattingly Williamson; one sister, Judith C. Peake; one brother, Gary Williamson; and one infant granddaughter, Laura Jo Spalding.

Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Deborah Wheatley Williamson; three daughters, Paula Raikes (Scott) and Brittianey Sapp, both of Lebanon and Lori Ferrie (Wes) of Campbellsville; two sisters, Kim Williamson (Jason) of Pennsylvania and Cheri Williamson of Louisville; two brothers, Roger Williamson (Elaine) and David Williamson (Denise), both of Louisville; one sister-in-law, Bonnie Williamson of Louisville; nine grandchildren, Bobbi Spalding, J. D. Spalding, Bailey Spalding, Ryan Raikes, Stephen Ferrie, Ethen Ferrie, Chloe Whitlock, Clayton Whitlock, Paige Raikes; and many nieces and nephews.

The Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 13, 2015, at St. Charles Catholic Church, 675 Highway 327 in Lebanon with burial in the church cemetery with the Rev. James W. Graf officiating.

Visitation is 3-9 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 12, 2015 at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. with Deacon Joseph R. Dant.

Memorials may go toward their animal rescue which they have operated together for the past 20 years in care of Deborah Williamson, 7510 Cedar Creek Road, Louisville, KY 40291.

Pallbearers are J.D. Spalding, Hunter Williamson, Billy Abell, Wes Ferrie, Kenny Salerna and Chuck Welch.

The Mattingly Funeral Home in Loretto is in charge of the arrangements.
