Obituary: Jeanne A. Roby, 89, Jeffersonville, Ind.

Jeanne A. Roby, 89, of Jeffersonville, Ind., died Thursday, April 2, 2015, at her home. She was a native of Clarksville, Ind., and worked as a Registered Nurse at Hazelwood Center in Louisville. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church. She was past president of the Clark County Medical Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her father, Edwin J. Fackler; her mother, Faye Fackler; two sisters, Mary Rose Hummel and Marilyn Stocksdale; one brother, Milton Fackler; and former husband, Dr. A.L. Roby.

She is survived by one daughter,, Melissa Roby Meriwether of Jeffersonville, Ind.; two sons, Robert L. Roby (Lela) of Lanesville, Ind. and Michael P. Roby (LaVerne) of Deatsville; one sister, Geri Wetherell of Palm Harbor, Fla.; one brother, Edwin Fackler (Joan) of Portland, Ore.; one brother-in-law, Clifford Stocksdale of Clarksville, Ind.; six grandchildren, Piper Roby-Thomas, Levi Roby, Monica A. (Lawrence) Claerbout-Guarnaschelli, Matthew Roby, Danielle Roby and Shelby Meriwether; and three great-grandchildren, Ruby, Amelia and Ruth.

The funeral Mass is 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2015, at St. Augustine Catholic Church with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Monday, April 6, 2015, and 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday at the E.M. Coots’ Funeral Home, 120 West Maple Street, Jeffersonville, IN 47130.
