Sally Mathis, 94, of Cox’s Creek, formerly of Louisville, died Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2015, at her home. She was born July 28, 1921, in Knox County.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Louis Mathis; and eight brothers and sisters.
She is survived by one daughter, Linda Satterly of Cox’s Creek; one sister, Ellen Smith Potter of Turkey Creek; two grandchildren, Kelly Dalton of Chaplin and Bethany Lanham (Gordon) of Bloomfield; five great-grandchildren, Kaylin, Chelsie, Tyler Dalton, Morgan and Emmalee Lanham; numerous nieces and nephews; and many good friends.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 18, 2015, at Barlow Funeral Home with burial in Valley of Rest in LaGrange. Bro. Jim Bratcher will officiate.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, 2015, and 9-11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may go to Kosair Children’s Hospital.
Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
