Obituary: William “Buster” Clemens, 70, Bardstown

William “Buster” Clemens, 70, of Bardstown, passed away Friday, Aug. 14, 2026 at Baptist Health Hardin.

He enjoyed playing softball, and coached little league basketball and baseball.He refereed and was an umpire for little league and high school sports in Nelson County.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William “Brother Bill” and Gladys Clemens; brother, Charles Clemens; sister, Janice “Miss Jan” Clemens; and niece Tannette Clemens Hunter.

He is survived by his son, Greg (Emily) Clemens of Mount Juliet, Tennessee; daughter, Carrie (Andy) Lopotosky of Interlochen, Michigan; two grandchildren, Seth and Sophie Clemens; and brother, Leonard Harold Clemens of Dallas, Texas.

His funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 20. 2026 at Nelson County Baptist Church with burial in Nelson County Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19 at Barlow Funeral Home, and 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday at Nelson County Baptist Church.
