Obituary: Marcia Winfrey Hume, 85, Bardstown

Marcia Winfrey Hume, 85, of Bardstown, died Sunday, Oct. 25, 2015, at her home. She was born Oct. 19, 1930, and was raised in Marion. She was a retired music school teacher for Bardstown City Schools, a former member of Bardstown Community Theater, and a member of the Bardstown United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Delmas Hume; and her parents, W.R. and Lera Winfrey.

She is survived by one daughter, Carol Hume Ashley of Los Angeles, Calif.; one stepdaughter, Brenda Hume White of Indiana; one sister, Cathy Bell of Philadelphia; and two stepgrandchildren.

The graveside service is 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1, 2015, at the Burkesville City Cemetery.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30, 2015, at Barlow Funeral Home.

Memorial donations may go to donor’s favorite charity.
