Thursday, June 4, 2026 — Nick Houck, 46, brother of Brooks Houck, the man convicted in the murder of his girlfriend, Crystal Rogers, was arrested just after 1:30 p.m. Thursday on a Nelson County indictment warrant issued Wednesday on allegations of perjury in the first-degree.

The arrest comes following an extensive investigation by detectives with the Post 4 KSP post in Elizabethtown. According to KSP, investigators determined that Nick Houck committed perjury in statements he made between July 15, 2015 and April 16, 2023.
First-degree perjury is a Class D felony punishable by one to five years imprisonment and a fine of $1,000 to $10,000 upon conviction.
According to the KSP press release, Houck was arrested and is housed at the Nelson County Detention Center with a $25,000 cash bond.
Houck’s arraignment in Nelson Circuit Court was set at 9 a.m. Thursday, June 18, 2026.
As with all criminal cases, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
