Nelson Circuit Court indictments — Sept. 2, 2026

Editor’s Note: The indictment of a person by a grand jury or otherwise is an accusation only and that person is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

These individuals listed below were indicted by a Nelson County Grand Jury on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2026.

26-CR-259. DAVID WILLIAM PARRENT, 38. Bardstown.

  • FIRST-DEGREE TRAFFICKING CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (FENTANYL) RESULTING IN DEATH

COUNT 1: That on or about the 7th day of January. 2026. in Nelson County, Parrent knowingly and unlawfully manufactured, distributed, dispensed, sold, transferred or possessed a quantity of Fentanyl with intent to sell it. The sale of the Fentanyl and heroin resulted in the death of Angela Wilmoski.

Bond is $100,000 cash only, plus conditions. Arraignment set for Sept. 17, 2026.

26-CR-261. DONALD CHRISTOPHER BISZMAIER, 47, New Haven.

  • I. SEXUAL ABUSE-FIRST DEGREE (VICTIM UNDER 12)

COUNT 1: Between the 1st day of January. 2022 and the 31st day of December. 2022, Biszmaier allegedly subjecting E.T.. a person less than 12 years of age to sexual contact.

Bond is $50,000 cash, plus conditions. Arraignment set for Sept. 17, 2026.

26-CR-254. SEAN BRADY, 22, Bardstown.

  • SODOMY 1st DEGREE
  • SEXUAL ABUSE 1ST DEGREE

    COUNT 1: Between January 1, 2015. and December 31, 2015, Brady allegedly engaged in deviate sexual intercourse with M.H.. a person less than 12 years of age.
    COUNT 2: Between January 1, 2015. and December 31, 2015, Brady is alleged to have subjected M.H.. a person less than 12 of age, to sexual contact.

    Bond is $250,000 cash, plus conditions. Arraignment set for Sept. 14, 2026.

    26-CR-256. ROCKY DALE THORNSBERRY, 45, Bardstown.

    • FIRST-DEGREE TRAFFICKING CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (TWO GRAMS
      OR MORE METHAMPHETAMINE)
    • FIRST-DEGREE PROMOTING CONTRABAND
    • OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE WITH OPERATOR’S LICENSE REVOKED,
      SUSPENDED, CANCELLED OR DENIED
    • POSSESSION OF AN OPEN ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE CONTAINER IN A MOTOR VEHICLE
    • FIRST-DEGREE PERSISTENT FELONY OFFENDER

      COUNT 1: That on or about May 26, 2026, Thornsberry allegedly possessed two or more grams of methamphetamine with the intent to sell or distribute it.

      COUNT 2: That on or about May 26, 2026, Thornsberry allegedly introduced dangerous contraband into Nelson County Detention Center.

      COUNT 3: That on or about May 26, 2026, Thornsberry allegedly operated a motor vheicle with a revoked, suspended, cancelled or denied operators license.

      COUNT 4: That on or about May 26, 2026, Thornsberry allegedly possessed an open alcohol beverage container in a motor vehicle.

      COUNT 5: The First-Degree Persistent Felony Offender charge is based on Thornsberry’s prior felony convictions.

      Bond is $50,000 cash, plus conditions. Arraignment set for Sept. 14, 2026.

      26-CR-258. JEREMY TRISTIAN BALLARD, 20, Bardstown.

      1. ASSAULT, FIRST DEGREE
      2. FIRST-DEGREE POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE
        (METHAMPI-IETAMINE)
      3. VIOLATION OF A KY EPO/DVO

      COUNT 1: On Aug. 6, 2026, Ballard allegedly caused serious physical injury to Wanda Faye Ballard with a deadly weapon or dangerous instrument.

      COUNT 2: On Aug. 6, 2026, Ballard was allegedly found in possession of methamphetamine.

      COUNT 3: On Aug. 6, 2026, Ballard allegedly violated the provisions of a Kentucky protective order, when he stabbed Wanda Faye Ballard with a knife.

      Bond is $100,000 cash, plus conditions. Arraignment set for Sept. 14, 2026.

      26-CR-260. MICHAEL DUGGINS, 51, Indianapolis, Ind.

      • FLAGRANT NON SUPPORT

        COUNT l: Between Aug. 1, 2024 and July 31, 2026, Duggins allegedly failed to pay support he was ordered to pay, resulting in an arrearage of $3645

        Bond is $5,000 cash, plus conditions. Arraignment set for Sept. 14, 2026.

        26-CR-262. ROBERT GAYLORD DAVIS, 55, Greensburg.

        • FLAGRANT NON SUPPORT
        • FIRST-DEGREE PERSISTENT FELONY OFFENDER

          COUNT 1: Between Jan. 25, 2005 and May 31, 2015, Davis allegedly failed to pay support he was ordered to pay resulting in an arrearage of $3551.
          COUNT 2: The indictment cites Davis’ previous felony convictions at the basis for the first-degree persistent felony offender charge.

          Bond is $9,500 cash, plus conditions. Arraignment set for Sept. 14, 2026.
